This, is my Grandpa’s chair. The one he finished his LA Times crossword puzzles in, the one he napped in while we ran around him, and the chair that made more of an impression on my little mind than the carpet it sat on. It now sits in our living room. I pass it everyday as if it’s as common as a lazy-boy recliner, but when we have company it is always a topic of conversation. Circa 1950’s, Eames-esqe bentwood recliners with tufted leather are not all that common in our neck of the woods. I think Grandpa would be happy to know the next generation is having just as much fun spinning this well-loved chair as fast as we did.

Hi Caitlin! Love that you’ve started a blog! It was so much fun reading about grandpa’s chair and reminiscing. And I like how you used the lighting to bring out the chair’s details in the photos. I’m excited to see what else you come up with to write about!
Thanks! Everything I know about photography, I learned from you!
Love this chair!
